Scalloped-Edge Bowl II

$40.00

These scalloped-edge bowls are great for holding tea lights or pillar candles, collecting spare change, or your crystal/rock collection.

They are great individually or grouped together as a pair or trio to create a centerpiece on your dinner table, scattered on your mantle or as an addition to your meditation/prayer altar. The possibilities are endless!

They are made from mild steel that I heated in a propane forge until glowing orange. I then formed the metal into these unique shapes using a combination of hammers, tongs, and swage blocks. After getting the shape just so, I used a wire wheel and grinder to remove all the flakey scale that builds up on the surface through the process. Then finished with a combination of heat and patinas.

<Image Description: 5" cupped round steel form on which the candle would sit. The finish is multicolored with a variety of grey, black, brown, and silver.>
